Failed Orbit Records first started with the band Beaman. It was the name that members Ray Farias and Kevin Tit used when they would release physical versions of their music.

In 2014, Rawb Cunningham, Eduard Panen, Will and Jo Adair, and Jhune Liwanag joined with the hopes of throwing shows to raise funds and bring down mainland acts under the moniker.

People have come and gone, but Rawb Cunningham and Jhune Liwanag have taken on the responsibility of bringing down bands, throwing shows, and promoting the talent of Hawai`i with the help of a large D.I.Y. collective of people working towards the common goal of keeping the arts alive and active.

We want to provide opportunities for local artists and musicians in different ways, whether it be helping a band play their first show, connecting musicians to start a band, or giving artists exposure through an art gallery or a zine.
